With the improvement of laser production technology and reduction of cost, lasers have been widely used in many technical fields such as fiber communication, measurement technology, medical treatment, and biological engineering. In these fields, users are paying more and more attention to the performance indicators of lasers.
The center wavelength, half-height width and power of lasers are important performance indicators. Since the laser emitted by the semiconductor laser has a certain divergence angle, we use an integrating sphere combined with a spectrometer and a power meter to measure it. Because of the unique geometric structure of integrating sphere, the laser forms a uniform light intensity distribution after multiple diffuse reflections in the integrating sphere, and the measurement of laser beam power is not affected by the polarization and calibration of laser beam.
The device is mainly composed of a spectrometer, an optical power meter and an integrating sphere. Through PTS special software, the center wavelength, half-height width and optical power of laser are simultaneously measured. It's suitable for measuring light-emitting devices such as laser diodes, laser diode components, divergent monochromatic light sources, and supports conversion into assembly line batch testing.
The measurement wavelength range is 200-1100nm, resolution is 0.1-1nm, and power range is 100nW-10W. Before the equipment leaves factory, we will calibrate the integrating sphere, detector and optical power meter as a whole to improve the test accuracy. Therefore, the power meter probe and integrating sphere are not recommended to be used separately.
PTS software is an application software independently developed by Brolight to measure spectrum and power at the same time. The software interface is simple and practical, and the operation is simple. Set the corresponding parameters according to the user's test requirements in the "Settings", and then start the measurement after saving.
PTS software is suitable for batch testing on the production line. Enter the serial number and click to measure. All test datas will be saved in the "test record". The software can also automatically determine whether the product is qualified.
